Pierce County is located in the West central part of Washington State. The population as of 2010 in Pierce County was 795,225. Pierce County is the second-most populous county in Washington. County Jail Information
The Pierce County Corrections Department is a direct supervision and has the capacity for 1700 inmates. The jail system currently employs approximately 300 corrections employees. There are two facilities: New Jail and Main Jail. The new jail was built in 2003 and the main jail was built in 1985.
