Okanogan County is located in Washington State along the Canada-US border. The 2010 census listed 41,120 residents and the county seat is Okanogan. The largest city is Omak. The county was formed in 1888 and was name after the Okanogan language.

County Jail Information

Okanogan County citizens are very proud of their corrections that an example of a jail with innovative programs. Built in 1984, the jail housed 67 inmates. The Corrections Center has undergone several extensions in 2000, 2002 and 2003 that increased bed capacity to its current level. The Corrections Center is a 183 bed facility. It is a medium security, adult facility.

The Correction Center allows two free lobby visits per inmate per week. There is a 15 minute maximum per visit. Visits need to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and confirmed by the inmate. On-site visits are on Fridays from 1:00 4:00 pm, and Saturday – Sunday from 8:00 am – 11 am, and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

All visits are done through video.

Mail can be accepted by an inmate. Use the Okanogan County Corrections, 149 North 4th Ave. Okanogan, WA 98840 and include the inmate’s name.

The Sheriff’s Office holds active warrants. To find out if a warrant has been issued, contact the Okanogan Sheriff’s office at 509-422-7232. The warrants are divided into five areas: Felony warrants, Misdemeanor warrants A-E, Misdemeanor warrants EA-OZ, Misdemeanor warrants P-Z, and warrants with no photos.
