Chelan County Sheriff Information

Chelan County is in the north central part of Washington. As of the 2010 census the population was 72,453. The county seat and largest city is Wenatchee. The names comes from a Chelan Indian word meaning deep water, a reference to Lake Chelan which is about 1,486 feet deep.

County Jail Information

The Chelan County Regional Justice Center is a 383 bed facility located in Wenatchee. It serves a population of over 94,000 and encompasses a geographical area of over 5,000 square miles. There are satellite buildings that include a 42-bed minimum security faculty and a 66-bed direct supervision minimum security facility.

All visitors are subject to search once inside the facility. To schedule a visit, call 509-667-6539. Visiting hours are Monday through Thursday at 8 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm. Call on the day of the visit to schedule a visit. Evening visits are 45 minutes. Visiting hours on Saturday are 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. To schedule for Saturday, call the Friday before.
