Douglas County Sheriff Information

Douglas County is located in the central portion of the State of Washington. At the 2010 census the population was 38,432. The county seat is Waterville and the county was named for American Stateman Stephen A. Douglas.

The sheriff is the chief executive officer and conservator of the peace of the county. The office patrols 1820 square miles and controls a population of about 39,700 people. The Sheriff’s office has 30 commissioned and 6 non-commissioned employees.
