Skagit County Sheriff Information

Skagit County is located in the northwest section of Washington State. At the 2010 census the population was 16,901. The county seat and largest city is Mount Vernon. The county was formed in 1883 and named for the Skagit Indian tribe. Skagit County is known for tulip and strawberry fields.

Employment in the Sheriff’s Office

Openings in the Skagit Sheriff’s Office include a Corrections Deputy.

A corrections deputy can make up to $5,389 per month and have 12 paid holidays per year. Qualifications include a valid Washington State Driver’s License, US Citizen, 21 years in age, high school diploma or GED, and no felony convictions.

To find a warrant, call the court directly to find out if your warrants are quashable by paying a fee. If you are not able to pay a fee, contact the sheriff’s office to see if you quality for a public defender to help you with your warrant. Superior Court Warrants don’t have the option of paying a warrant fee to quash the warrant.
