Columbia County is in the South Eastern portion of Washington State. The population as of 2017 was 4,047 making Columbia the third least populated county in Washington. The county seat and largest city is Dayton. The county was created in 1875 and is named after the Columbia River.

County Jail Information

The jail was officially opened in 1887 and has undergone renovations. Currently it has 11 beds and the security level is medium. It is an adult detention facility.

Inmate visits is on Mondays between 10:00 am and 11:00 am, and on Thursday evenings between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Visitation is subject to the availability of the booking room and officer availability. All visitors must have a valid picture id and must be at least 10 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian. No food or toiletry items are accepted for the inmates.
