Grant County is located in the center of Washington state. At the 2010 census, the population of Gran County was 89,120. The county seat is Ephrata and the largest city is Moses Lake. The county was formed in1909 and named for US. President Ulysses S. Grant.

County Jail Information

The Grant County Jail has been I it present location since January 1986 and has a 188 bed capacity. In 1999 the Work Release Center opened to provide hours for minimum to medium security post-sentence inmates and to allow the operation of work release as a sentencing alternative.

Visitation Hours for the jail are 30 minute sessions and are on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Visitation for work release are Tuesday 8:00 am. to 11:00 am. and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Thursday through Saturday 8:00 am. to 11:00 am. and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Identity must be verified.

Funds can be  deposited on an innate account via mail using money orders made out to  the inmate, via computer (www.AccessCorrections.com), via phone (866-345-1884), or via lobby kiosks.

The county Human Resources department provides services for all county offices and departments in the recruitment, selections, training, employee relations, labor relations, compensation & benefits, personnel policies, and employment law compliance.
