Kitsap County Sheriff Information

Kitsap County is on the eastern shore of Puget Sound in the state of Washington. The population of Kitsap County in 2010 was 251,133. The county seat is Port Orchard and the largest city is Bremerton. The county is named for Chief Kitsap of the Squamish Tribe. The United States Navy is the largest employee in the county with installations at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport and Naval Base Kitsap.

Visitation at the Corrections Department is video only. The system is provided by Telmate and an onsite 30 minute visit will be provided a no cost per week. Visitors need to be in  the jail area 10 minutes before the scheduled visit. Additional on-site social visits can be provided Monday – Sunday for a cost of $0.25/minute. Remote or off site video visiting is available via the internet. The cost for this service is $0.25/min.
